So on Monday we got a call from Sister Beckstrand and were asked to go to the mission home and paint the walls! President hates painting so he just made videos of us, took selfies, and laughed at our mistakes. Classic!
Monday we took a plane up to the great north and had a specialized zone training in Umeå. It went really well and it was good to see Elder Rhodes and Carrigan! Love those kids!!
Thursday and Friday we also had trainings in Handen and Gubbängen! One of my favorite things is being able to see all the missionaries. As all you readers can probably figure out, I love the people in this mission. They are all just so good and want to do good. Sweden is the place to be!!
I also went on splits with Elder Johnson this week in Handen. So funny story. Elder Bradley from my MTC group was in Handen last transfer and got to be good friends with one of the homeless Romanian beggars in Handen. Elder Bradley and I are like the same height and so when the Romanian beggar saw me, he thought I was Bradley. He came running over to me and picked me up, hugged me, spun around, and shocked me up... Hahahahahahaa when he set me down he realized I wasn't Elder Bradley.... oops hahahah
I also wanna give an update on a few people we are working with. We have an investigator named Jing who is from China. He lives with a less active member and they just had a baby together. Jing is awesome, he used to not believe that God existed but now he feels and recognizes the Holy Ghost. He is waiting for a confirming answer and then he'll get baptized after they get married.
We are also working with the wife of a member named Thelma. Thelma is from the Philippines and she grew up Catholic. She married an active member and has been coming to church. She is super awesome and loves the ward. There is a little bit of a language barrier so it is hard for her to understand what we teach. It'll take a little more time but she is awesome!
We also have a young Swedish guy named Stephan. He is friends of an awesome member and actually went skiing in Salt Lake this winter with the member! #iamjealous He visited Temple Square and wants to get baptized in a lake this summer. He is a very spiritual guy and loves church :)
Well I hope you guys have a great week! time just keeps on cruising by. I just wanna share some thing I learned this week and then a funny quote from Sister Beckstrand. I have learned how important it is to pray for direction in our lives and do all you can to recieve an answer. But more important then that is being willing to do that which the Lord gives you for an answer. Seek his council and follow it.
"I wish I had two more daughters... so you both could marry them.... and then they would both be super lucky!" -Sister Beckstrand
hahhahahaha
