So we had zone conference this week and that meant that the Norrland zone had to come down a day early so they could participate. ! With that said that also meant that Elder Dahle and I had to house 8 other missionaries in our apartment... Yeah we had a 10 man sleepover! It was so nuts!
Zone Conference was really good! Elder Rasmussen, Elder Sahlin, President Beckstrand and of course you can't forget Sister Beckstrand, all did a fabulous job! The focus was on how we can use Preach My Gospel more effectively. It was really good and just what our zone needed to hear. Elder Rasmussen also gave his final testimony (When a missionary is about to go home they bare their testimony in the last Zone Conference they have). I am so grateful that I can be in Stockholm with him just before he leaves! Love you pops!
I was also on splits with the stud Elder Cox this week! He has been in Sweden for 5 weeks so it was fun to relive the excitement of being new again! We had a lesson with a new investigator and turns he is super HARD CORE for his religion and all he wanted to do was explain how it was perfect. It drove me nuts..... I have to be honest, I was was legitimately upset after the lesson. Elder Cox and I were walking done the street after that and then we heard "Elders... Elders... ELDERS!!" Turns out there were four Utah Mormons looking out for us. They took pictures with us and thanked us for our service! It really lifted my spirits and I know that God was watching over us and knew we needed a boost. It was way cool and one actually texted Jodi ;) #goJodi
----Blast from the past!----
So this week I was able to reunite with the man Jeff Clark himself! He is from Malmö and we were bros back in the good old greenie days! But now he lives in Stockholm and is going to school so we got luch! It was way good to catch up with him!
Also, I called Donald this week who is a member I helped baptize in Malmö. He moved to Göteborg and is still going strong! Donald you're a stud!! See you soon brother! #bossman
---Back to idag---
On Friday we got a call from a less active member who needed some help. I was not sure what exactly she was saying because there was ABBA blasting in the background but I was pretty sure she needed us to help her move a mattress. Yeah I was wrong..... She wanted math help.... So I tried to help her with her calculus but I was no good.... I am in trouble once college starts.... but like it was in Swedish too so that didn't help hahaha :)
So we go to this members home named Pablo (he is 100% Swedish with a spanish name... doesn't make sense) every Sunday for dinner. He rents his apartment out to people and every Sunday we rotate who cookin'!! This week it was the missionaries turn which means it was Hemmingsen's turn... woot! So we whipped up 5 pizzas and fed 15 people! They were from Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Croatia, Bosnia, Lithuania, and probably a few others, and of course America :) It was way fun!!!
Well this week has been good and next week will be even crazier. We find out transfers this week and my guess is I'll stay and Dahle will go! We also are in a tri-pan for a week and a half becasue a missionary went home. Elder Silvennoinen (idk how to spell it he is Finnish)
I am so grateful for all that I have learned as a missionary. It goes so fast. Connor, Go all out!
I love you all so much and I'll see you soon!!
PS Go Cougars for beating those darn Bug eatin' Huskers!! Way to go!!!
