We started if this week off right by going down o Malmö for splits. Have I ever expressed how much I love that place? I was with Elder Bradley, he is from my MTC group! He is a super duper good missionary. We had a lesson with a potential investigator who is the friend of a member. We met up with them at a basketball court in Malmö and played a few pickup games before the lesson. That was on my "missionary bucket list" of things to do!! It was super funny but I came to the sad realization that I am NOT in the same shape I was before the mission... Darn... Hahahaha
We also taught another familly the plan of salvation. That is by far the best lesson ever! The gospel is just so practical. It makes so much sense to me that this life has a greater meaning and that our families are to last forever. So much hope for a brighter future comes from a faith in the plan of salvation!
Wednesday we came home and started preparation for the 5 trainings we are having over the next few weeks....
Thursday we had our last Specialized Zone Training with the Södertälje zone. It went super well! I love seeing the light in the eyes of missionaries who know why they are on a mission. You can see it in their faces and smiles. It is like they are wearing the gospel!!
Friday we gave a training to the trainers who will be training the new missionaries who have never been trained. #trains.
We will be have 5 elders and 10 sisters coming in this week and so we brought the 15 new Trainers to the mission home and taught them what they need to do! Training is the best, I miss E-Tuna with my boy Christley!
We have also met with Jasmine and a few other people this week. Gusielle didn't come to church this week but we have been holding good contact with her and are going by this Thursday. Jing came to church and I gave him my Swedish triple combination that I have been carrying around my whole mission. Jing is super, he has come a long way and I love his guts.
I also got a random call from Donald this week! We exchanged common pleasurties and the first thing he asked me after was "Hemmingsen, how you doin', how is your Mum?!" (Mum is African for mom #Nigerabrothaz) Hahaha Donald is such a good dude!
Saturday we played soccer, my goalie skills are improving but still not where they need to be.. We also went up to Norrtälje to do some work. We talked to people and taught them some street lessons but not a ton happened. It is ok because it just feels so good to get out!!
Sunday we had a dinner with a member named Ronny and the Clouses. I ate way to much but I guess it is a blessing :)
Well you all might be wondering what the title of this email means. Any Ice Age fans out there? I know Abby Faldmo loves how realistic those movies are!!
Anyway,
This week is transfers and I will be starting my final weeks as a full time missionary. I will spend my last transfer here in Täby, which will make it my fifth transfer here or 7.5 months! I love this place. I can't believe it is all coming to a close. I feel like the hardest thing is just knowing that I will never have an opportunity like this ever again. To be able to travel a beautiful country, meet new people, be with these missionaries, and just serve the Lord.
Six weeks is a long time, there is a lot I still need to do. I know that I need to leave it "all on the field" so to say.
I look forward to the day to see my family and being able to be more fully engaged in their lives but I know that this work is more important for now. But when all is said and done, the most important thing to be done is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. So you know what that means, time to get to WORK!
Hey, take care and see y'all soon!
