Well this week was unique because we spent 7 days in Stockholm. Hahaha it was nice!
On Tuesday I was on splits with Elder Halterman. Elder Halterman is my District Leader right now. He is easily one of the greatest missionaries in this mission. He is such a great thinker. We had a ton of good chats. We decided that depending on where I go to school we'll try to room haha and He'll teach me the piano (he is super talented) and I'll teach him how to play basketball (he doesn't know I am bad) hahaha You're the man Elder Halterman!
We were doing some swing-bys in Åkersberga on Tuesday and we knocked on the door of an elderly couple. We were welcomed in and started chatting. We found out the man used to be a Branch President and has not been to church because his wife is so sick. He said a prayer with us as we were about to leave. Right after He addressed our Father in the prayer, there was a long pause and he began to weep. The only words he could mutter were "Tack för att har skickat missionärerna hit." (Thank you for sending the missionaries here). It really opened my eyes with how big of a blessing we can be as missionaries. I felt like we had been guided to this couple's home to help bare a part of the years of burdens that have come from sickness. It was an eye opening experience. God is so aware of His children.
On Thursday I went on splits in Gubbängen!! This time I was with Elder Burton! We had a solid day of missionary work and we topped it off by going to the Segura's for dinner!! Ahh I miss Gubbängen! And Malmö! And E-Tuna and Skellefteå!!
I love Sweden!!
We finally finished things up with the upcoming Specialized Zone Training. We will be having a training in Malmö (touchdown) Wednesday and Goteborg Thursday. We are also going on splits with the ZLs in those areas this week. With all that said, we are going to be gone from Tuesday to Saturday this week..... haha
The work is going so well here in Sweden. We have been blessed with 4 times as many baptisms as we had at this point last year. It is all thanks to the faith and diligence of our amazing missionaries. Sweden has by far the best missionaries in the world, like I am 100% sure of it!
Hope y'all have a great week! Enjoy that 15 inches of snow!! All of the snow is gone and the green grass and trees are coming up!
Löööv ya!!
