Tuesday we had another one of our Specialized zone trainings in Stockholm South zone. The zone isn't very big at all but the training itself went super well! Elder Johanson is a ZL so it is good to see him!
Tuesday night we hopped in the ol' Opel Mariva and drove down to Utby. It is like a 5.5 hour drive ish. We got in late and went to bed like right away. Wednesday we woke up and started splits with the Utby Zone Leaders. Elder Halterman and Heiner are super talented missionaries. I was with Elder Heiner on splits. He is actually from my MTC group and we had never been on splits before! Heiner cracks me up!! He is just a party! We had a good day. We went to a new members place that I taught during my 5 days in Utby. His name is Lennar. He is so awesome. He knew it had been my bday recently and he gave me a tie and some aftershave hahaha :) what a good guy!
On Thursday we woke up (still in Göteborg) and gave another SZT to the Göteborg zone. Göteborg has a big zone so it brought a different dynamic to teaching. But it went well! I got to see the main man himself Elder Treat ;) Funny story but my MTC comp (Treat) is comps with Elder Bradshaw's MTC comp (Falkner) super funny!
Thursday night we took a trip south to Malmö! (like 3 hours from Göteborg) On the way down we stopped in Halmstad to buy WAY over priced hamburgers with the man Brock "The Rock" Johnson! It was good to see him, love that guy! Anyway, we rolled into my home errrr I mean Malmö, at like 9 and stayed the night with the one and only Elder Archibald (and his comp of course too Elder DeMourdant ;)) It felt super good to see Archi again, It seems like we haven't seen each other in forever but it was only like a month... hahaha it was good to catch up and talk about people in Malmö with him. He loves the Molbaeks too! #Magnus!!!!
Friday morning we woke up and gave our 5th of 6 SZTs to the Malmö zone. The Malmö zone has a ton of experienced missionaries so once again, it brought a different dynamic to the training. It is funny how you plan the same training for every zone but they are always so different. The spirit takes it the way that the zone members need it.
So yeah, then Friday night we drove back to Stockholm. (6.5 hours) we got home late (again) and crashed (again). #party
Saturday was actually one of my favorite days I have had on my mission. We played soccer with the ward in the morning and I got owned by some High Priests in short shorts and headbands... #yikes. After the onslaught we cleaned up and headed to the Temple. I just realized that I have be blessed to visit the Temple a ton lately! But anyway, a few weeks ago I got a call from Amrita Persson in Eskilstuna and she invited me to her and her husbands sealing in the Stockholm Temple! Johan and Amrita were baptized right before Elder Christley and I went to Eskilstuna and we had the privilege to teach them when I was there! I had never been to a sealing before (I am going to another one on Sept 9th #nuts) but what an amazing experience. Johan and Amrita are now together forever. It was one of the best experiences of my mission. I felt so close to God in that room. It's experiences like that you'll never forget.
After the wedding, we went to a baptism for a professional soccer player named Naasi that Elder Bradshaw taught in Handen! Nassi is from Compton, CA #straightoutofcompton and lives her in Sweden. He is the coolest guy and it was fun to see him get baptized!
After that, sweet little Jasmine invited us over for some dumplings along with other missionaries. We got there and she wasn't quite ready so she taught us how to make the dumplings to speed up the process. Let's just say it is a good thing I wasn't born in China because I am no good at making dumplings... hahaha Jasmine is so awesome and on Sunday she actually taught Gospel principles in Chinese! She is super good!
One more thing! We got an online referral of a lady who is from Lima, Peru but grew up in Sweden. SHE IS SO GOLDEN!!
I have never seen someone so happy to have missionaries knock on her door. Her husband is against us meeting but she said she'll try her best to get to church on Sunday! Everyone pray for Gusielle!
Life is busy busy busy busy... no rest for the wicked ;)
Hope y'all had a good week and I'll see ya soon! Next week is transfers, after that transfer, I'll be the oldest missionary in the mission.... time to do work!!
ha det gött!
