This week has been great. We have been more busy then ever this week. Now that Ras is leaving we have to find time to pack but that doesn't seem to be happening.
So on Tuesday we had our finally district meeting before the transfer and Ras wanted to kinda wrap things up with what we have been trying to do over the last six weeks. We watched the kid president video at the end and I forgot how super snygg that video is! Ahh go YouTube it, it'll brighten your day ;)
So also on Tuesday we had a super good lesson with our buddy Su. He has so many questions about life and has doubts about how to find these answers. But like I have said before, doubting is just a wanting to know truth! So we emphasized (again) the importance of finding answers through diligently studying the Book of Mormon. We both bore powerful testimony of the divine authenticity (big word for äldste hemmingsen!) of the book and the power we have seen come from it. Su is a man looking for answers. He is ready to hear the word!
Innocent (a less active) is one of the coolest guys I know and we have been working with him regularly. He has been coming back to church and just seems to be all around more happy. This week we agreed to go to his gym with him. Wow I have never been more sore in my life.... Like the first thing we did was squats and Ras and I didn't want to look like wimps so we skipped the warm-up and just started throwing weight on the bar trying to look all tough and stuff hahaha... after three sets of ten, my muscles shriveled up like raisins... I have not been able to walk up stairs since Wednesday... #gettinbackonthegrind
This week I read another talk by Elder Holland called "Cast not away therefore your Confidence". When we receive a spiritual answer to a spiritual question we need to act upon it. Most of the time , if not all of the time, you will receive adversity right after you deiced to do something good. For example, Joseph Smith. He had a question, which church was right. When he decided to receive a spiritual answer to his spiritual question, The adversary tried to persuade him the other way. Quote "I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart, when immediately I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak... it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed for sudden destruction"
Satan will not hesitate to stop a good thing from happening. Whenever anyone decides to do something good, he will be there to convince you other wise. What Elder Holland's point was, if you felt like it was the right thing to act upon the promptings of the spirit at the time you asked for an answer, do not put away that confidence.
Some people think once you begin to follow Christ, your life should be easy. But that may not always be the case. Be confident in the good decisions you are making and the Lord will bless you when he feels the time is right. You don't know the strength of temptation until you begin to resist it.
Well I love you guys so much and I am so grateful for all your prayers and love :) New things are happening here in Malmö but change is good! I'll see ya soon! Love you all!
PS Christmas is like in a month! woot woot!!!!
