We had a rather terrific day on Tuesday. We were on the bus and this man named Donald sat by me. He looked at my name tag and asked me if I was a policeman hahaha. I said no and said I was a missionary for my church. He then asked me if he could come to church in a week!
Ras and I figured out that we only have 86 krons between the two of us... that is like 14 dollars... I have 84 krons and Ras has 2 krons... Ras literally has 31 cents... hahaha but then one our investigators "just so happened" to come over and give us dinner! She told us that she read 50 pages from Mormons Bok!
Later, we went over to Brother Mendez's house. He invited us to join a member missionary council that meets every other Tuesday in Lund. (Lund=Bomb) He plans on trying to work with us to improve the member missionary work in Malmö! Thank you brother Mendez! Then that night, Ras and I taught the restoration to a lady on the bus, and gave her a Mormons Bok. We are going to set something up with her this week too. It was a good day :)
We had our ward Halloween party this week. It was awesome. They told us that it was the most well attended Halloween party they have ever had. The äldsters ran the haunted house and Brother Molaebeck said it was the best haunted house they have had. We did run (literally) it a small problem.. So we had glow sticks up on low hanging pipes so that people wouldn't hit their heads on them, but we forgot to put glow sticks on the other side of the pipes for the people running the haunted house who had to go the other way through it. Sooo Äldste Schawbii was running to get to his place to scare someone but he hit his head on one of the pipes and split his head open.. So I sat with him in a closet in the basement for an hour and helped clean his face. He ended up going to the sjukhuset and getting four stitches. He is all good now!
The missionaries in Malmö basically run the ward. We have a total of nine missionaries just in the Malmö ward. This week, six of us (including me) spoke in sacrament. The three new sisters, me and another äldste bore our testimonies and then Ras gave a talk. Lambson, Ras, and Brinkworth and I translated during the sacrament meeting. Ras also blessed the sacrament. Then the three sisters taught the English class. Finally, Lambson and I taught the elder's quorum meeting and Ras and Brinkworth translated. That is a typical Sunday here in the deep south...
I really love Malmö. Yes skånish is weird but that only means all the other dialects of Swedish will be easier. The ward has some fantastic families and some great young men. The ocean is beautiful and the trees are turning to fall colors. It is so majestic :)
I miss you all and I'll talk to ya in a week! Love ya!
