1st off Happy Birthday to the best mom to ever walk this planet!! Thank you for everything mom!! I LOVE YOU!!
So this week started off with splits in Södertälje. I was with Elder Burton in the söööd. Elder Burton is from Canada, so there isn't a whole lot of explanation necessary! :P haha but yeah! We had a total of like 8 planned lessons that day so we just drove from lesson to lesson! Elder Burton and Elder Halterman have been working super hard and getting blessed this transfer. They have so much going on! Funny story but the first guy we contacted on the street was named McDonald, and the second one was named Mohammed Ali.... Gotta love Africans!
The highlight of this week was having Midsommar! Midsommar is a Swedish holiday where they celebrate summer. There is 11.5 months of freezing cold so they have a holiday... No I am just kidding, they put up a pole thing and dance around it!
We went to Midsommar at Tyreta By (where all the missionaries go) for a little bit and then we went to one celebration in Täby with our ward. We played soccer and basketball which was good!
Saturday was also a part of midsommar. We played soccer with our ward in the morning like usual and then helped our ward mission leader move. He is moving to another part of Stockholm in the Jakobsberg ward. He'll be missed so much by the missionaries!
Saturday was also President Beckstrand's birthday! Sister Beckstrand invited us over for a BBQ and then a tournament of hill-bully horse shoes. The Beckstrands are so great. The office couple and apartment couple came too. The Clouses (office couple) are so funny. Elder Clouse is super witty and always has a funny comment about something. They are the bomb!
Sunday was packed full of activities. We had Church and then had to run out the door to get to a lesson with Marimba and Jones. We taught them the Plan of Salvation. They have so many questions (good questions) so it was a long lesson. They are very recptive to the gospel and took a soft baptismal commitment. I am hoping that they can be baptized when I come back to visit Sweden next month! But we'll see.
After the lesson we came home and had dinner with the Clouses. They are the best ever! (I already said it but it's just a fact.) Then we headed to the Beckstrands for a final transfer board session before the transfer. It's weird to see my picture among the departing missionaries. Like I realize that I am going home but it doesn't feel like it. I guess it just hasn't hit me yet!
I hope everyone has a super good week! Thanks for all the love and support that you give to all the missionaries around the world, it is appreciated ;)
Take care! See you next week ;)
